Tattoo Aftercare

We carry small travel sized bottles of lubriderm for only $2.00, they can be purchased at the shop.

The life of your tattoo depends upon the care it receives in the first 2 weeks. Keep the tattoo covered with the bandage for at least two hours. After this time remove the bandage. Wash it thoroughly with soap and water using only your hand. Be sure to remove all surface blood and rinse off all soap. Lightly pat dry.

DO NOT APPLY VASELINE OR PETROLEUM JELLY
DO NOT APPLY ALCOHOL
DO NOT PICK OR SCRATCH TATTOO, SLAP IT INSTEAD!

With clean hands apply a very light coat of lotion (use only unscented, dye free lotion) at least 3 times a day but no more than 4 times a day for the first two weeks, this lotion can be purchased at the shop or at any drug store.

DO NOT EXPOSE TO SUNLIGHT FOR 2 WEEKS
DO NOT SWIM FOR AT LEAST 2 WEEKS
DO NOT SOAK IN SAUNA, STEAM OR TUB FOR AT LEAST 2 WEEKS

The tattoo will develop a layer of dry skin. Let this skin fall off naturally. After the skin has fallen off there will be a period of adjustment. It is advisable to apply a lotion. The tattoo is your responsibility after you leave the shop. USE COMMON SENSE.
